Updates on the Omar Thornton Conn Shooting Rampage

According to the New York Times, at least eight people have been reported dead in the Omar Thornton massacre in Manchester, Connecticut early this morning. While many of the details are still forthcoming, reports indicate that Thornton, a driver for the Conneticut-based distributor, who was scheduled for a disciplinary review, which was possibly scheduled after Thornton refused to resign, opened fire in the Conneticut warehouse of Hartford Distributors.

According to Leutenant J. Paul Vance, Omar Thornton was among the deceased. Despite earlier reports that the gunman had been killed by police fire, it now appears as though the gunman turned his gun on himself.

Many of the wounded are now receiving care at a hospital in Hartford, Conn., in uncertain condition.
